Residential Care Manager

For over 20 years VSS has provided residential services for physically disabled,
mentally ill, and developmentally disabled adults.

Our program has a rewarding job opportunity for a hard working Residential Care
Supervisor with a hands on approach to resident care,  meticulous attention to detail
and the appearance and sanitation of our physical site.

The successful candidate for this position must be able to complete task given by the
Administrator of VSS. The candidate must also have exceptional leadership,
initiative, interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational and
computer skills, implement ADL’s and daily recreation activities with residents such
as community trips, arts and crafts, games, music, social recreation, and hobbies,
taking into account the needs and interests of individuals’.

Requirements/ Responsibilities Include:
•        Be 25 years of age or older
•        Certified Personal Care Home Administrator with 2 years experience, Active PA
CNA with 2 years experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years experience
working in the group home or home care field.
•        Be free from medical condition(s) including drug or alcohol addiction.
•        Must have the ability to provide personal care services and/or direct the work to
provide personal care services for up to 34 residents.
•         Must have strong staff scheduling skills and the ability to work flexible hours
and perform on-call duties as required. May need to perform duties of direct care
staff as necessary; dependent upon current staffing needs.
•         Monitors and maintain required staff training and other additional training.
•        Must have a firm understanding of DPW Chapter 2600 regulation and/or HBCS
manual and assist in preparing licensing plans of correction a plus.
•        Must have current PA DPW medication administration certification be CNA or
higher.
•        Must have experience in ordering residents medication from Pharmacy and VA
hospital and maintaining MARS sheets.
•         Ability to demonstrate preparing and writing resident prescreening assessments,
individual  assessments and support plans for residents regarding assistance with ADL’
s,  IADL’s, Medication etc.
•        Current CPR and First Aid certifications  
•        Current TB test  
•        Valid driver's license  
•        Ability to pass criminal and child abuse background check
•        Verifiable references

Personal Care Aides

Growing personal care facility and home care agency has immediate need for hard
working personal care aide staff to work in our personal care facility and in consumers
home. Must assist with daily living skills (personal hygiene, meal preparation, morning
routine, bedtime routine, providing incontinence care, adhere to special dieting as
needed, etc.).  Applicant must have prior experience. We have Part time, Full time,
long term one location assignments with plenty of hours.
Requirements Include:
•        6 plus months CNA/CHHA/HOME CARE AIDE experience preferred
•        Minimum High School Diploma/GED
•        Must pass CPR and First Aid certification training
•        Current physical and TB test * (must obtain for employment)
•        Valid driver's license a plus
•        Ability to pass DPW direct care competency test and medication administration
training.
•        Ability to pass criminal and child abuse background check
•        Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays
